yo dudes....maddam iguanas bus failed on a rear coil spring...............will i have to get a diesel one or are they all the same....cheerz

not all the same but no difference between petrol and diesel but there are different ones depending on what sort of bus it was, if you can find the paint code markings then you can be sure you are exchanging like for like
iirc standard 2wd springs are two yellow and one green are 30mm lower the rare ambulance are brown and special campers are blue

right then......got the bloody thing off this mornin and theres only one yellow band around it...tried the passenger side and thats the same...........does this mean i have front coil springs on the back.................anyone got one in stoke i can get hold of tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just had a look in me shed as i thought i had two standard rears.but they are fronts..

im really crap with anythin like this...so lets if it works!!!!!!!whats left of the full spring with only 1 yellow band

and finally the broken top so dont know what the rest looks lark!!!

and according to that i have 30mm lowered front coil springs on the back of the bus.....f****n hell.....

on the ones i have there is one blue band that i can see.standards are meant to have two

but i know they are standards.both of your springs look broke to me..

they are all the same spring rob....just thought id take a couple of pics...so the spring in the pic is a standard mate,or did i read it wrong,or do i have a soddin front on the back????..........cheerz

fronts and backs are not interchangeable mate.the other thing is the brickyard colour codes are for vw springs.not after market ones..

no probs,could just do with knowing if theyare standards......might have to buy a soddin pair if i cant get one to match....and were pretty skint at the mo................cheerz rob...sound aza pound!!!!!

got a pair of rear springs. Not to far from Stoke just off junc 10 of M6 if any good to you. ! has 2 blue spots and the other has nothing on it at all. removed from a c plate caravelle. o.k condition. Let me know if any good to you.

Your van must be a converted panel van if it has yellow rear springs.

So blue are heavier-duty than yellow?
Which is better for a heavily-loaded Westy?
