Leak on coolant system.

I've found yet another leak. It's coming from the hole in this pipe. Can this be fixed? Can it be sealed or welded in some way? When I first looked at this I thought this piece was bolted onto the engine block and I'd be able to remove it and get a new one, but it looks as though this is welded on and the things that look like bolts aren't as they're round.

No, it's bolted alright.
If you can't get it brazed up ...you need to get it off, and that looks like those rounded bolts may well need drilling out, if they are stubborn to a pipe wrench.
use a 7mm drill bit and tap the hole with an 8mm tap.
would be a lot easier with the engine out of course.

As I've just done one.

They're not allens, they're round on the inside.

probably been rounded out.. whatever...
they have to be forced out or drilled out

they will have been allens or just maybe splined either way Id hammer a spline in, apply heat hammer more and give it a go,failing that grind up and weld a nut to it, difficult but will come out

So can the hole not be repaired whilst in situ then?

Like I said in my first post
if you can't get it brazed up
Not much brazing done these days.. it's like high temp soldering
you will be only postponing the complete failure of it for 6 months

Like Kev says , I can braze it or whatever in situ but it will be rotting from the inside so not worth it as it will be leaking someplace else soon enough

Not much help in this situation but if you ever have a rounded off bolt head or nut (within reason) try a Metrinch spanner.Saved my life a few times. They fit on the flats of the bolts or nuts not the corners
