Which way should a diesel water pump turn on the pulley, clockwise or anti clockwise.Does it make a difference or does it vary from the non turbo engine to the turbo one any body know or can it run either way.

Thats what I thought but on the 1.9 I have in it goes anti clockwise and the belt is on right .If I ran it other wayI could do away with power steering pump which would probably give slight power increase, but not sure If this would have affect on cooling.

lots of people fit the 1.9 belts the wrong way. The ribs run on the flat pulley so it rotates clockwise.
