Yup we have found another Syncro - a twin locker Multivan TD - over here and rumours of a 2.1 Carat Syncro in black are floating about

I got a call from this French guy looking for an engine because he blew his up so between Paul and myself we got him sorted.

This is a pic I took of the engine before it was dropped

It appears as though the bottom timing belt pulley came loose by shearing the woodruf key on the crankshaft. The resultant bang snapped the camshaft and scrapped the engine.

some pics of what went wrong, the woodruff key broke on the crank also the washer had worn, never heard of it on a JX or a 1.6 and neither had any of the mechanics down there and the bolt seemed tight ??

As he hadn't any experience of changing engines and the local guy was booked out for weeks gave him a hand with it

Its a twin locker early multivan with a winch and dakar bullbar on the front a few other issues such as either weak spring on the left or shock ? but tidy enough

Tell Fabrice his bullbar sucks and he should send it to this poor unsuspecting Syncro owner in Nottinghamshire.

Seriously though, looks like a nice van.

It looks like a good van all right. Had a respray a few years ago and there is a little tin worm appearing now. Odd spec inside, but a useful one - cupboards and overhead locker in the rear and a kitchen unit where the buddy seat goes
