No rear lights.

Electrics are certainly not my strong point.

One tail light wasn't working so I changed the bulb-nothing.
I've checked the fuse, the earth at the tail light and the crown of earths at the front, now the other tail light has given up.
I'm actually getting 12.5-13 volts at the bulb holders, this is making me go nuts.

Incidentally, my oil light bulb is glowing gently without the ignition key in. How do I find the open circuit?
Thanks

If you look in the engine bay on the engine you will find an oil pressure switch a wire will be attached by a spade connection sounds like you have an earth there or failed switch try disconnecting wire from switch and see if it goes out. :ok

Thanks for the reply.
I've changed my oil pressure lead and connector, to no avail.

One rear light has decided to work again, the other one still wont play.
Everything else works except the high beam light. I've just changed the led and guess what?
zilch!
I cant go and get an mot without the back light and high beam light, and there I was worrying about emissions!

Helloo mate,i had a very similar problem, turned out to be the bulb holder plate itself(the grey metal bit)i took it to a local auto electrician who removed them and shot blasted them to clean them all up,all the lights work all of the time now, they charged me 30 quid to do this,it might be worth checking out, regards.
