Hi, all i picked my new/old van up last week and today is the first time i have had a real good look around it with a torch etc (i know i should have looked before i paid, but i got excited!!), anyway to cut a long story short the cable from the thermostat to the flap lever has snapped, now does this mean the flaps are constantly open??
I would imagine so personally but i could just be being thick, but it would make sense as a sort of "failsafe"??
Cheers guys

Yep spring loaded to stay in the open position when cable failure occurs
Get it sorted while the summers here

Maybe use a section of electrical cable jointing block and some more wire cable to sort it if you know what I mean

Hi,
You can get replacement cables now from JK. I bought and fitted one about a month ago...
Thanks,
Chris

Bodge I know but I used a cycle brake inner cable and electric connector, from the chocolate block type, follow instructions in Haynes to set up when cold, I made the join where it wouldnt foul on any tinware etc.
