AJT piston interchange

Sorry to have been gone so long, but our T3 project stalled a couple of years ago when I got far too busy trying to build new equipment for my business to play with cars and trucks.
We are putting an AJT (2.5TDI low HP) in '87 Westy Syncro. Got the SA bellhousing, rebuilt gearbox with decoupler, new mainshaft, taller/stronger top two cogs, new syncros, sleeves, forks, bearing, etc., have RSA Audi motormounts, all that good stuff. When we ran out of time, I had just pulled the injectors and pump to have Giles Gallie (in Toronto ON) build us a mechanical pump - which after looking for many months for 2.0 and 2.4 pumps for parts he did).
Now, HERE's the problem: when I pulled the injectors, dropped some bolts in the holes and essentially left for the summer and barely walked into the shop two winters. When we got back to work on the job, found that water had leaked through the roof, along a sheet of steel overhead, and dropped in a neat line RIGHT INTO THE INJECTOR WELLS! Three bores ruined by corrossion.
This engine was never sold over here, so does anyone have any idea what piston this is? Should interchange with SOME 2.0 4 banger, but which one??????? ( I am hoping it is the 2.0 PD ). Would rather go to pistons rather than sleeving the engine.
Regards - Pat
