anyone know of any good ones????....as in a previous post we're off there as a family in the van for the first time so any addresses of good beach side sites would be great......nothing like a peacefull day when you're 2.5 year old is building sandcastles!haha

Are you talking about Northern France?

I've been over there many times but not camping though - dad was a D-Day veteran so we used to go to the memorial services. From Caen (Ouistreham port) west theres an area called Riva Bella with campsites at Hermanville La Breche and Colville Montgomery. These are back from the beach a bit There is a larger site right on the coast at the west of Lion sur Mer .

I love this part of France even if its not that exotic - the locals are very friendly and supermarkets are dead cheap.

Oh I forgot about that one - as my dad would have said 'thats down the yanks end of the beach'

St Mer Eglise is a nice town.

If you want to venture further down there are loads of campsites near Mont St Michael
