Help... cooked brakes

Hi all, i just drove my multivan about 4 miles with the handbrake on(what a plank) started to squeek and a little smoke from rear wheels when i stopped and very hot. what is the worst and best case scenairo for what i have done?
very angry at myself :evil:

worst stretched cables worn shoes worn drum burnt bearings want me to go on???? best new drums and shoes

BOLLARDS...just had a run after letting it cool down, peddle a little lower and a squeek sometimes when braking, hand brake works ok still, perhaps some new shoes if i am lucky.. any thoughts :ok

may be shoes and poss drums. may also have boiled fluid? worth bleeding it and changing it in opinion.

very good chance the drums are blue'd bad and need changed!

I've heard of bedding your brakes in but that is over the top!
With luck you have only removed the leading edge as the handbrake would have slackened off as the pad wore away. You may just need new shoes.

depends how handy on the spanners. Very straight forward job. normally takes longer to get the drums off if they haven,t been off for sometime.

Might be worth changing the brake fluid too, if it's boiled and gassed, you will have a softer pedal and less braking..
