Hi all

Camping at the weekend - we were just getting the van into position when crunch!

looked underneath and this jutting up rock we hadn't seen had hit the tap on our grey water tank and snapped it off. Could have been a lot worse i guess...

Anyway i see Gunzl sell the taps so hope its a straight swap - looking at the part it looks like it screws straight in to the tank but i tried getting the end of the broken one to come off and it wont move. Has anyone had to do this before? are they just stiff and need a bit of persuasion?

Hi
The tank detaches very easily by undoing three longish 8mm bolts. It maybe advantageous just to remove it for easy access.

Have you tried applying some heat to expand the plastic a little, as the tap has probably been in situe for some time. Had a similar problem myself, trying to get the top off the fresh water tank. Heated it up with the wifes travel hairdryer for about 5 mins (keeping it moving) then let it cool for about a minute, hey presto, with a bit of a grunt & a gurn, the top freed up.

Hope this helps.
