Hi
I have already posted this morning asking how to do the headling but can't remember if I put that it was a high top I was wanting to do, so just to ask again, soz about this
how hard is it, what do I do, could I even do it, or do I have to sell the kids to be able to afford to pay to have it done. Must just say, don't want the grey stuff (thats on at mo) but some nice girly Laura Ashley fabric
Cheers
Lisa

Lisa, I am doing mine!!

Is your high top already carpeted etc etc? If its panelled, and you have battening, just take out the panels and reline with whatever fabric you want. If not, get some grip fill, and some battens, stick battens to fibre glass, give a day or so to cure properly, cut out cardboard pattens, transfer to hardboard, cover in fabric. Insulate between battens with silver foil insulation then screw panels on.

Some piccies of mine in Camping.

No worries.
Glad to help. No expert...just having a go myself.....hopefully won't make a pigs ear out of it!!

The only concern I would have is sticking battens to carpet. I would mark where you want to put the battens, and remove the carpet as best you can....get some bond to the roof. Gripfill available in cartridges from B&Q around £2 a pot. I have also used the product "Hard as nails" from poundland....I know, I know.....but it has been out in all that sun and the battens haven't fallen off yet..... Just sit an look at it, and think....where do I want my panelling? Where am I gonna need to screw into wood?

Have fun

:ok

(and if you are not looking for a show home, but sommat you can use and enjoy, all the better!! :rofl )
