What are the consequences of fitting a 2.0 Aircooled onto a 1.6 Aircooled gear box?

I know they fit, but how does this affect the gear ratios?

basically it will go the same as the 1.6 , just accelerate faster!

you should not try going any faster as the 2.0 wont last long!

the 1.6 will rev higher than the 2.0 , the type 4 motors just dont rev out like the type 1 motors!

standard DH code 1.6 box

3000rpm is 50mph
3500rpm is 58mph
4000 rpm is 66 mph

personally 3000-3500 is plenty enough long term i am sure the factory revlimiter is 4250

fot a DK code box that is matched to the engine

3000rpm is 60.86 mph
3500rpm is 71 mph
4000rpm is 81mph

see the difference?
