Temp 2 sensor (blue) - quality matters?

Ay up,
I have a suspicious blue temp sensor on my 2.1 DJ. I rang Dick Turpins (VW Crewe) for a price ->£36+
Just checked the usual 'local' webshops and they are about £6/7. Now I'm always a bit nervous about sensors and their quality.
Can the cheaper units be reliable or do I invest in genuine, is this a case of 'you get what you pay for'???

Cheerz

:rofl

The reason is.. and not just coz he's a mate and a pretty decent chap.. is because he only sells parts he would/does fit to customers vans.. GSF/JK etc dont fix/work on/fit parts....

got both sensors blue and black plus 2 o rings from vw oct last year £36+.
also got lambda sensor from local factors £54+ because i needed the van and 2 months later its in the bin and my new sensor is on its way from mr baxter as we speak. i guess thats why i dont buy copy stuff as im no mechanic and i just wasted all day sunday trying to sort van out with disconnecting sensor last thing on my mind as it was new!wont fall for that one again......
