Folks

Quick question - (Apologies if this is a stupid question)

What can I safely plug into this when I'm hooked up? Don't wanto to melt my partners laptop whilst we are away next week. :?

Any advice as usual greatly appreciated

If you mean the 13amp socket via the campsite hook up, anything you like up to the current rating of the circuit breaker. And anything over that will only trip the breaker.

maplins used to sell a kind of plug that displayed how much ampage you were using -
might be worth checking - if you need a running description of your use -

good to check with site as to what ampage they use -
plug in - and keep an eye on own use -

One 13amp plug socket....so as long as the supply is above 13amps (most UK sites are although Euro sites can be much less at 10 or even 6amp supply) add up all the wattages of your consumers then divide that figure by the voltage...so for instance: a 1500Watt hair dryer is 1500/230 = 6.52amps

Heaters are the bad boys.....blower heaters/kettles/oil heaters/hair dryers all big consumers.
