Any ideas on what my clutch size might be?

Hey hows it going?

Need to replace the clutch on my '85 C reg 1.9 DG petrol WBX - I know the only real way to know is by opening up the gearbox, but what could it most likely be :?: 215mm or 228 :?: Going to get my local (trusted and T25 friendly) garage to do the work, but having never changed a clutch on one of my vehicles before, is it about 6 hours work or slightly less :?:

beginning to realise after about 6 years of having one of these beautities, they need TLC, but its worth it :D
As somebody put in a post a few days ago, "they ain't like a saxo where you drive them and leave them, there's always somethign that needs adjusting/fixing" I suppose I've been lucky up to now.

ta for any advice :ok

No.. could be either... as you dont know if its the original engine or if anyone has been in there already..

PM me the engine number and I'll see if I can make an educated guess.. On first reaction I would have to say it should be a 228mm one though..

Are you doing it or the garage? have they asked you to supplt the clutch kit?
6 hours seems a bit generous mind..

sure its 215 as the 228 is the 2.1 inj engine clutch, tho could be wrong as my clutch kits are made to order due to scooby lump!

No..
most DG 1.9's were 228mm too.. My 1983 DG caravelle is 228 and so is my 1992 DG Syncro...
