High Top Crazing

Hi all,
Just been looking around the bus and have noticed that their seems to be crazing in the high top roof mainly were it joins to the van. I know the roof is getting on now ....circa 20 years as it came off a 1990 T25. Is their anything that can be rubbed in to it to keep it supple so to speak. I do on a regular basis wash and wax the van but never wax the high top.
Is this an age related thing.....bit like wrinkles as you get older
