I thought people like to know about these batteries.I'd thought I'd do a update how they are doing on my trip via Scotland.

I must say these batteries are amazing. I've used them a lot putting power through and they just keep delivering. interior lights on (I have tubes, not LED's), propex on, as it's cold in the evening. Even running an additional 12v coolbox & laptop all evening.

I acknowledge these are more exspensive, but not really in relation to a normal Leisure & may take up more room. I've certainly not looked back. So far I haven't required pick-up on any campsite and it's day 8. Thus saving myself about £3/4 every night ! These should pay for themselves in no time.

Interesting - which did you opt for - 2x 6v in line?

And how's the trip going? where are you? intend to do the Scottish trip sometime!!

Yes I brought 2 x 6V and hooked them up in series. I paid £220 delivered for the pair.

I have a Aux fusebox and the Trojans supply just that. I do have a Elecsol Leisure in the normal place assisting as well.

However hadn't the need to purchase hook up yet.

I am on my 2nd night on the Isle of Skye. Tommorow I am going to Applecross and up the West coast.

Take care on the Bealach na Ba, it's a terrifying road... Applecross is nice when you get there though.

sounds good - so how many aH do you have in total ? Assume the Elecsol is 100aH - and 2 x 6V Trojans give another 200 or so ? Thats a whole load of back up power. What kind of cooler do you have - and are you using a split charger to charge as you travel ? Thanks for the update - and good luck on the trip - sounds like quite an adventure !

If Ah stays the same when you series connect then I have a whopping 540ah. The trojans are 220ah each 6V.

Yes using a split charger. I got the raw compentents one.

I got to Applecross. What a drive to get there! Then on the way back from there I had a blowout of a front tyre. I had 91 ratings on, so maybe asked for that! The Highlands roads are very unforgiving! Had to be recovered to a place 30 south of Ullapool!

I wished my tyres were as reliable as my trojans!
