Just read (Again) the Brick-Yard Article on changing springs (
http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... wering.htm). No mention of using compressors. Just jack the van up and the lower arms drop enough (With help) that no compressor needed. Is this right?

I suppose they have to advise you about using spring compressors otherwise it may become a Health and Safety issue,,,,,this job can be carried out with just a strategically placed trolley jack, on both the front and rear suspension components.....

It does
on tight ones like this it may be an idea to use some spring compressors to take the strain and make removal easier,
I couldn't remove my rear spring with out a compressor or get the new one in. my CV joint bottomed out before i got the clearance so I used a spring compressor. Halsords do em for £20 or so.
