Dash illumination not working

Hi
After turning the lights on on the van tonight all the dash lights went out and will not come back on.I have done a search on this on the forum and the most common things seem to be either the light switch or a bad connection on the back of the clocks. All warning and indicator lights work fine.
I have never removed the dash clocks on one of these and was wondering how easy it is as i don't have a manual and don't want to break anything if there are hidden screws.

Many thanks
Martin

easy peasy the dash cowl pulls off from the front edge nearest windscreen grab and pull up and towards you it is stiff and needs some courage, the dash itself may come loose, I have yet to own one where it hasn't been repaired in some way as some cack handed mechanic has broken the plastic tabs somehow getting to the brake fluid reservoir or something. Cowl off will expose the bulbs for the clocks, I think replacements are available, cant remember where from though. careful with the PCB its delicate and the bulbs take there 12v from it. also just make sure you have the dash variable dimmer switch turned up, left lower front face of the dash panel little wheel under the switches.
