JX - AAZ Oil pump

When fitting a JX sump tp the AAZ engine do you have to change/modify the oil pump pick up pipe? AAZ pick up looks to be at a different angle? Dont want to have the sump off again after its fitted in!

the JX pick up needs to be bolted onto the AAZ pump.

My JX pick up pipe won't fit on the AAZ....just read the entire alt engine forum & can't find any previous mention of changing it, so did every one else swop them over?
Confused & far too late to be in the shed!

Yep, everyone swapped them over. There's two bolts with 10mm heads IIRC that you undo and the pick up drops off the pump.

As above its a straight forward swap no mods needed.

Many thanks for replys, all sorted now. Was a bit confused because its the bottom of the pump that needs swopping over! Its funny how it caused me more head scratching than all the rest of the conversion, and only two bolts...
Should be running tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Just make sure you spin it up and get oil pressure prior to connecting the 'stop' solenoid..... you knew that, right?

Don't get the bolts wrong as the longer ones bottom out and the pick up pipe doesn't tighten.
Can't remember which engine the longer bolts come from, but there are 2 that are miles too long.
