Does anyone know what this part is called and where to get one?

Cant remember what it's called but I know homebase do them. Think it may be called a carpet edging strip.

Unless you're talking about the ally finishing strip as found in Caravelles and the more expensive T25s, in which case its shaped to fit and probably only available S/H.

Bugger, so probably not gonna find one of those! Better get on the case with finding something I can modify to put in place of my edging, even if I do a bad job it'll still be better than what I've got now.

If it helps (Homebase again!), for mine, even though it's a home-brew interior, I used a length of aluminium angle cut to size and screwed down in place.

Cheers, definitely going to have a look to see what they have. Something similar has been done but it doesn't fit and its going rusty so not a nice look for the entrance!

If it's Aluminium, google (uk) 'Aluminium Extrusions' - There are loads of suppliers and someone will have a similar profile to yours.
Not all will supply small quantities, but you should be able to source. Use the old one as a template to drill.
