Has anybody gone with the van to Portpatrick south of Stranraer. I have fond memories of there when i was a kid and think I should take the family there this summer. it is also near the best area in Britain for veiwing the stars at night (not my view the official one) Anybody recommend a good campsite?

Ah, Portpatrick, takes me back to the 70's. Some mates and I used to frequent the Crown hotel and play guitars for free digs!!
There is a campsite just as you go down the hill at the beginning of the village. The entrance is on the left and the road takes you uphill to the site. I've only used the site once for camping, you'd have to ask about campervans.
Found this on google
