On the top of my cooling system i have a temperature sender, which is a screw in item (035 818 369 C or 035 919 369 C), the 8's look like 9's and vice versa.

Just kampers and Brickwerks only sell push in items, i have googled the part, and it appears to have been used on numerous Audi's VW Polo's, Jettas etc, i found it in this catalog.

http://www.adapart.eu/katalog/600.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What does this temperature sender do and any idea who sells them ? My part is fire damaged and i cannot tell its colour, hence i am worried i may get the wrong one as the part number is not particularly legible, and this part is advertised a a 'white' one, what is the difference between the whites, reds, blues blacks etc.

, and what is the additional one in the water pump housing for? link to part from Brickwerks below.
