Suitable stereos for T25s

Hey everyone, my lovely new (to me, old to the world) T25 has a stereo in it but it's too long, so it sticks out about an inch. This didn't bother the previous owners but it bugs me! So, has anyone any tips for cheapish stereos that are the right. I'm not too fussed about power but it would be good to have 3.5 in jack so I can connect an mp3 player. I'd be looking to pay £50-£100 as I don't mind searching for a used one on ebay or some such.
So, suggestions please!

I fitted one of these, pretty sure you'll get them in the UK too, or something similar. No CD player, takes USB cards and SD cards. Not very deep in size obviously so no worries with fitting perfectly in the dash and plenty space for RCA cables etc behind it.

you can get a very nice spacer from Brickyard for the newer head units.
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php?p ... t&Itemid=6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
pioneer (that I fitted) would go all in but the wiring was rather squashed and the ariel needed a special fitting.
so a 15mm spacer was fitted and it's great.

Talking about eBay stereos, I added this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0273601860 to my eBay watched items ages ago. I seem to remember reading something positive about it as I probably wouldn't have searched for it otherwise, but I can't remember what
I've read very good things about the Pioneer DEH-P77MP but they seem to be going for £120 plus again, and that's second hand. I could've sworn that last time I looked they were going for £50 - 80...
No personal experience of either of the above though so quite possibly not much help!

I could not do without the aux socket on the front of my fascia for attaching my ipod/mp3 player

yes I can agree with that, if you use them it's very convenient

I bought a nice fusion one that you slip your ipod into.

I got an In Phase 620, CD, mp3, USB, SD card, nice little unit but to use the aux sockets I'll need to move the unit out a tad. Matching XT4II 160w speakers just fitted in the doors today but look a bit daft as the dash covers part of the speaker, sounds good

Thanks folks, I'll check those out. The aux socket will be essential, justlike the one I fitted to our car.

Followed Gaz F's tip and got a shallow non-CD player stereo. Had to get it form German ebay but it fits and works a treat.
Cheers.

I seem to recall Mr Baxter selling a dash extension thing that allows your stereo to protrude out but still look fitted and be held in place
