Been working on the van all day and as I locked up I did the usual lock sliding door and close door - check pocket for keys... Doh!
Wrong order!
Now with all my previous cars I have been able to get in in seconds with the old packing strap.. but after numerious attempts I have had no luck..
Could somebody please PM with any help, tips..
Cheers

Ooh, that sounded so easy!
Assuming the confidential advice wasn't 'smash the quarter light', could I please also be PM'd.

Do what the scum-bags do, put a sharp instrument into he locking device. Though you wont be able to do that on my van.

I could prolly write something for the wiki, but do we really need people knowing how it's done?
If any legit person on this forum truly wants to know I could write something and PM it...
or maybe call and explain... I think it would take a while to write..
one of those things best instructed in person.
Once you know it's actually very easy and i'm surprised that the little blighters resort to breaking windows and forcing locks when all the tools you need for any car pre about 1990 can be found in a skip.
and yes Jed Robert is my fathers brother

Robert is my cousin's uncle, and one day, when he wasn't busy doing that, he gave me a handy tip: keep a spare key in yer wallet. Saw off most of the 'handle' end, bury it deep. And forget it, until one day...

There used to be a little magnetic tin box called "Keep a Key". Had a sliding lid and a bit of foam plastic inside. Idea was to attach it somewhere hidden on the underside. A bit of waxoil on the key to prevent rusting..................... Still got one on my Bay, trouble is the memory is fading with advancing years, now where did I put the thing?
