Noticed an annoying squeak on the van I have bought recently I am convinced its the brakes as it goes when the pedal is depressed, I am trying to remove the brake pads for a look but was wondering how to remove them they are different calipers to the later type 25, it is a 1985 type 25, any useful tips on sqeak solving and pad removal
thanks

About to do mine in next few weeks. I believe on the 85 model (mines an 85) they are common to some type2 vehicles. Pretty easy to pop out once you remove the retaining pin/pins. Think they just tap through.

Just two roll pins to remove and they're out then copper slip the rear face of the pads and pop em back in (as long as they're ok ) about an hour a side start to finish

If the noise doesn't go away after the brake pads.....have a look at the top wishbone metalastic bushes, these produce a squeek when they wear out and collapse.
