how can i make my van go quicker it is a 1985 westy 1.9 petrol i would like to make it a little faster would a KN filter do anything any cheap ideas

Not really an alternative engine forum question.. as you say "cheap"..
No a K&N wont do anything I am afraid.. What engine code do you have? (DG?)
A different exhaust system will give a slight improvement, but not that cheap.. make sure its well serviced and set up correctly.. and remember a 1.9L engine isnt going to push 2 tons of metal around very quickly...
