First thing , try starting it with the engine running ,
also tell us more , what is it doing before it stops , or does it not even try to start

The petrol/diesel heaters require a good strong voltage, and they cut out if the voltage drops. I went camping in Feb in the snow, and had mine running for 5 hours, with all the lights and fridge etc, and it cut out. It would switch on and blow cold air out of the exhaust, but not fire up. I started the engine and the increase in voltage fired it up.

So trying to start it with the engine running should eliminate low voltage. (assuming you have a good aux bat)

If it is trying to start you should hear a fan come on, and a clicking noise from the separate fuel pump. If it still does not fire then it will need some repair. Search eberspacher as there are a few logs on the most usual things. Checking the wiring is a good starter, as i believe that a ten year old eberspacher does not pass the TUV test and were disconnected without anything being wrong with it.
