Blower box screws

I'm trying to remove the blower box and there are around six 'meaty' screws that hold it on. The top ones are a PIG to shift to say the least. Presumably never been moved since the van was built.

I sussed out that I could get to the back of a couple via the rad grill and gave them the cursory WD40 spray but they are hard going. After an hour or so I've come in. Anyone else had this prob? Theoretically I might be able to squeeze an impact driver in there but not so easy with the top right one near the master cylinder.

Hmm, enthused this morning I had a last ditch attempt to remove these screws but even with an overnight soak in WD40 they simply sheared off one side. I've decided the best bet is forget missing screws and just seal the replacement blower unit up to the bulkhead. I can't see me wanting to repeat the exercise.

The one GOOD thing about having the blower unit out is I can sort out odd bits of rust and my ailing washer jets - impossible to get at with the blower unit in situ.
