Start there. What you need may be in 'marine' or caravan section.

Sorry already tried them and they said to try one of the specialists who advertise in the back of VW magazines.

Thanks.

Sadly some seals are obsolete (whether genuine VW or third-party) and my only suggestion is to try and trace who supplied the original fitters or rethink what you have now. Sometimes fitting something else (ie new type of window) is the only solution. There are manufacturers around that can make seals from obsolete ones but with the mould/tooling needed its rarely cost effective for one-offs which is why rare seals tend to vanish from the supply chain.

You might like to contact Frank Groter at Frank's Bus Parts (based in Walton-On-Sea) as he goes in and out of Germany a fair bit and may be able to source a new (or close to new) seal for you. He'll certainly know the seal you're on about as he carries a lot of odd and rare Westfalia parts and speaks fluent German. A great guy who knows me from old. Tell him Ralph sent you.

Your right about the one off's Seals direct reckoned it would cost around £500 for what i needed....not cost effective. I was starting to think I will have to go down the new window route maybe a sliding one from a Caravelle. I will phone that guy to see what he says and I think I will end my search there.

Many thanks for your reply I appreciate it.

Chris
