Not another insulation question!!

Not one but a few.

I'm going to use the foil bubble wrap stuff is there any problem with using spray adhesive?

Also I want to use fibre glass or recycled plastic insulation. Can I stuff the plastic one into the panels without being wrapped or would it be best to use the glass version, wrapped in bags? Does the plastic one create a fire hazard?

Should I seal the panels with plastic sheets and tape once insulated or leave open?

Thanks for your help

Tom

I've just finished doing exactly the same.

I used spray adhesive for the foil, the best is the stuff for sticking car carpets down from megavanmats - http://www.megavanmats.com/adhesives.htm but I also used some from Focus (NOT vinyl adhesive, again CARPET adhesive) which worked well enough. Took just over 3 rolls to do the whole van including floors.

In all but the front doors I used the plastic wrapped insulation, the best thickness wise I found was from B+Q, but again focus had some that was a little thicker and did just as well. Careful with the plastic, it tears easily. And it is a pain in the ass to tape the ends up on your own, someone holding it would be easier. Don't cut them too much bigger than the hole, they puff up and sit proud.

I covered some with plastic again but not all, got fed up in the end, but I would recommend it.
