Hi im thinking of getting a table from JK not sure how to fit. Does it have to be drilled and bolted through the floor.

Do you mean the 'Island' type of fitting that uses a tubular island leg? Various ways of fitting these, can be permanent or non-permanent so depends on what you want. Best to give some details of the type of table you are thinking of buying.

The lower base ... this one - http://www.justkampers.com/shop/type_2_ ... VFNcnXg%3D" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; simply screws into the wood of the floor*, but as the hole the leg sits into is so deep it usually means drilling a big hole through the bottom of the van.

* mines only attached by 5 screws as the 6th hits the metal work!

I cringed at the thought drilling a big hole in the floor so came up with this alternative table.



The table sits on a rail that runs along the front of the cupboard.
It has two positions, one close to the bench seat, the other close to the reversed passenger seat.
The leg simply drops down.

There's a little block to stop it sliding out.

You can use the non flush fitting (the same as the one fitted under the table) but mounted onto a flat peice of board which acts as a base. The table can be placed anywhere in the van or out. The better solution that still gives you the flexibilty and stabilty (if you don't want a fixed location or having to cut a hole in the floor) is to buy the alluminium folding legs for the island support. These are available from JK and most camping accessory stores. This will also allow you to have the table anywhere you want in or out of the van and easy to stow away. If you do consider this then order the slightly shorter island leg otherwise the table may be slightly too high.
