I have been looking at the data from the last 12 months I have collected and fuel prices have risen by 20p per litre in those 12 months.

That's atrocious - So whilst fuel efficiency in motors is increasing the government is ensuring they don't miss out an any potential revenue. Thanks again Nu Labour

lpg is up by 30% on average in that time
isn't it strange how no one winged when it went over a £1/litre this time, no protests, no fuel strikes, we are all cowed by threat of redundancy/company failure/financial collapse
so they thought fine we'll shaft you another 10% and still no protest

it's like the man u fans complaining about the glazers but too weak willed to do the one actual thing that would get rid of them, stop going to the games and giving them money; and I wouldn't be suprised if the glazers bought the company that makes the green and yellow tat

Remember in the 80s when diesel was really cheap compared to petrol? I used to calcualte the savings a company could make annually by running diesel cars as opposed to petrol, even though they were a lot more expensive new (not just for fun, I used to sell new cars )
Diesel very quickly caught up and overtook petrol in price and I fear the same will happen with LPG over the coming couple of years.

I guess we'll all be driving to Germany via Luxembourg!

diesel is still cheaper in irl by about 10 cents one of the reasons we all run tractor engines but no real distribution of LPG here although there used to be don't know why they all stopped doing it ? worked out before THE running costs of a diesel compared to my Aircooled that i owned before and was about 3k a year les for 10k miles

Unleaded is up to 115.9p in Maryport now and theres only 1 place that sells LPG within 20 miles of me.

95UL 115.9 at local, 119.9 at out in the sticks garage.. Siansburys in Grantham 110.9.........
LPG kit going back on the DOKA soon...

Ha! But I still have to get to Luxembourg on "Rip-off British" diesel. Then there's the problem of paying out for 150+ litres in one go - maybe get a truckers fuel card? Think of the nectar points!

When VAT was temporary reduced to 15% a 2% duty was added to fuel to offset the reduction in Tax collected from motorists.(some say 2p/litre,I`m not sure) Now that VAT has risen back to 17.5% this "hidden"tax has NOT been removed.There was a petition protesting about this, but that has just closed with 164,248 signatures( see Petitions No10.gov) Once again milk the motorist for all its worth!

It's up to 117.9 now for diesel. It costs me an extra £10+ a tank than last year.

It's a bummer for small businesses. Any fuel cost gets passed on to the public & will push up inflation. Maybe that's what they want?

It's the fuel price & house prices that caused our financial mess to start with, so they are playing with fire.

UK Average 113.8ppl
Supermarket average 112.1ppl
Grantham Sainsburys (thanks to Si) 110.9ppl

UK has 2nd highest diesel price in Europe, with only Norway higher at 122ppl.
(All euro prices based on exchange rate at end of feb - at todays rate prices would be about 3% higher)

Germany 96.26ppl
Belgium 90.74ppl
Luxembourg 79.43ppl

So on that basis we'll be visiting our family at Karlsruhe on the way TO the syncro bash, setting off with just enough juice to get to Belgium, filling up with enough to get to Lux, then filling both tanks to the brim with lovely (27% off) cheap stuff which should get us all the way round Germany and back with one last fill in Belgium to come home!

I'd seriously think about getting a couple of 40 gallon drums throwing them in my little trailer and filling up in Lux if I was going.

I think Derv was same price as UL at Sainsburys..

Best get that second tank system working then..

Time to start making Biodiesel I reckon.
