My Vanagon

Hello all, i lurk about a lot but generally not a big poster. But, iv always had a burning question about my camper, an as the suns come out, its inspired me to wake it from its winter slumber an start getting ready for the year!
But first.......what is it? has anyone seen this kind of conversion before? all i know is it was imported from canada in the mid 90s. Its a Vanagon and a 2.1 auto, i bought it on a random chance off of here and im chuffed, the body an such is 98% rust free, which compared to other vans i viewed is nothing short of a miracle! heres some pics so you wise people can tell me what it is!
Plans for it are.....
New wheels (obv!)
New foam and covers for the cushions
Get the electrics sorted as theyre yank style at the mo
Heater.......now part of the deal with my mum letting me abandon it outside her house for months on end is she gets to use it.... shes terrified of gas due to a bad experience ages ago, is there any heater that doesnt use gas or flammable liquids? like electric or something? any help on that would be met with great gratitude and possible high fives.
New curtains or blinds, would prefer blinds as they look neater
