90 AMP Alternator Wiring

I have looked in the WIKI and seen the photo. Though just wanted to ask a question before ploughing into install.
On the back of my current alternator. I have a connector which houses 3 wires going into spade connectors.
Looks like 2 red wires and one cyan wire.
Do I have to cut & crimp new connections? On the back of my 90 Amp alternator I have nuts on threads, which take the output connections.

90amp alternator the red's need to commonned, (one goes to starter/battery and the other goes to the fuse box in the engine bay) onto a 8mm stud washer connector and the thin blue onto a m5 one for the w terminal for the revcounter/and or bod circuit (post 85), but check by continuity checking that this is the case on your wiring before attaching to the alternator
