same as 406 and i think all the later xud 1.9's

also standard on all the 2.1's i have removed.

toyed with it but i dont do enough to worry about it.

the one i have just done uses your mounts as it was already fitted to a van , the problem was all the coolant pipes were wrong!

Hi all ,

Cambelts runs in between the casting ,,,, it was loosely fitted in the pic ,,,
This was a job that came in ,, Bloke was advised to come and see me ,,, he came and told me the story of his wife going on a long journey the vehicle was about half full of fuel but not wanting to stop on the motorway filled up beforehand but she put petrol in by mistake not realising she carried on her way ,,,,,,,
anyhow garage said it needed a replacement engine , the job was paid for upfront and the garage fitted another engine ,,,,,, the garage made a right mess of things could not get it going so they changed the fuel pump still no good , seven weeks passed bloke had to buy another vehicle ,,,,,,when I arrived at the garage the vehicle was outside and below is what I found
1 fuel pipes fitted wrong way round all fittings leaking
2 fuel filter bypassed
3 it had a Bosch pump with Lucas injectors
4 bare wires feeding the pump
5 turbo hoses loose and had worn through on pulleys
6 one nut holding pump on
7 pump boost actuator damaged
8 seats and trim covered in oily marks
I set to adjusted pump timing , tightened fuel banjos swapped pipes round in ten minuets and managed to retrieve the vehicle without the garage knowing , bellowing out clouds of smoke as I left , when I set the dowel and bolts for the timing to replace the fuel pump the camshaft was a tooth out just to top it off ,,once fixed yesterday it ran great if a little smoky , the chap came round to see me today and the smoke had cleared it started on the morning strait away and was really chuffed ,, don't think the garage that did the work in the first place will last long if thats the way they go on
