I have been collecting a few bits together and have finally got round to fitting it all up,
7.5" x 16" rear merc rims with 215 / 55 tyres ET 41 no spacers modded to take baby moons
Laguna splitter cut to fit fog lights
Now for the purists out there i know that the laguna splitter don't look as aggresive as the vw item but it was free, they are readily available for £20 and make the front look lower

Ooo I like those rims, very nice. What is the drive like now with the Merc rims on the back? Did you have to mod anything? Does the extra diameter make any noticeable difference to the gearing?
Looks nice though, and I say that as someone who doesn't normally like the look of hightops, but yours is well balanced and those baby moons are to die for

Thanks for the positive remarks, they're greatfully recieved, the drive is unchanged as the actual rolling radius is the same, now i just have more wheel less tyre so gearing is unaffected, the only 2 minite mod i had to do was to remove the 13mm bolts from the brake drum faces and replace them with flush fitting ones £1.69 from home base other than that the wheels bolted straight on and with a 215 width tyre there is enough room to get my fingers between the tyre and inner arch, yeah i love the moons and a big thanks goes to my fabricator buddy Brian who welded in some adapters to allow them to fit, the only small issue i have is that my sliding door just catches the moon when its fully open but i think its a small price to pay for the staggered look, today in the snow i didnt get any wheel spin pulling out of my road which i normally do in these conditions.
