Hello chaps
Just a head count to see what jacks you guys favour, especially the hi lift type, is there a decent syncro orientated one which is best for the job? Also, been looking for a spare wheel to match, merc steel 6Jx15H2 ET31.........can't find one suitable but could I get away with say, a different ET(49?) and a spacer to get me out of trouble?

Most of us have a hi lift with the Land Rover adapter. The standard one is fine unless you have a 2" lift and 15" wheels. A 2 ton bottle jack is good too.
Best to have a spare the same as the others. The offset you mention is 20 mm different and if you used spacers (20mm) you would have to fit longer studs - a lot of work for something you will hardly use. Keep searching for the right wheel, e bay or somewhere.

Go to Mercedes & get exact match...Steels are about £40 new, you can spend that on petrol driving to get one for a tenner!

Try these guys. They deliver and they've got TONS of steel wheels.
They found me some tricky to find steels.
