Horn problem

Hi,
Ever since I bought my T25 last year the horn has only ever worked intermittently and even then it sounds pretty pathetic! Anyway it hasn't worked at all for the past few months and I went to try and look at the contacts behind the steering wheel today but I noticed that when I started the engine and pressed the horn you can clearly hear a click behind the panel in front of the passenger seat. I'm assuming that since I hear a noise over there when I press the horn then the electrics must be fine and the horn itself perhaps is the problem? Is that too nieve a view and should I still check the electrics? Any advice would be appreciated but go easy I'm still very much a novice!

Cheers,
Snowy

Start with the basics first. Check horn and connections onto the horn. Is more than likely the horn it self but check with a test light if possible to see if when the horn is pressed you get power to the horn. If yes then the horn is knackered but at only about £8 I would stick a new one anyway as you said it sounds crap when it did work. :ok

Cheers. I'm going to order a new horn then? Any ideas on where to order it from? Where is it located actually for replacement/checking? Cheers

Check the earth to the horn. Remove the plastic steering column shroud & check the spade connector low down on the righthand side of the column.
