hi,
I have 4 of the good quality ones that i'm gonna sell - put them on my van for a week and they didnt look quite right - too shiny for the van. 3 of them are in brand new condition, 1 has a small dent when it received a kiss from a grass verge
let me know if you might be interested

What do you mean by 'triple plated'?

It's the best chroming method. Fist it is copper plated then nickel and finally chrome. The cheapo hub caps from Brazil are only nickle and chrome plated, (might not even have the nickle). Without the copper plating it soon rusts.

Yep well the reason I asked is that I used to have a classoc resto biz and spent many£K on plating and wondered if (no offence meant) you knew how it should be done,
As triple plating is what it should be done ie this is the norm,

Depends on the use of the components, Anything used outside needs to be triple plated. Interior parts not so important unless a mirror finnish is required, then the copper plating when buffed fills the imperfections. But it still depends on the thickness of the plating, the thicker the copper the better which is expensive or just the cheap short dip. Non ferrous metals like brass do not need copper plating.

True but copper deposition is not the greatest cost , nickle is far more important and costs more, it is labour that bangs the price up, I only had the very best work done, you want to get headlamp reflectors refurbished and then re silvered if you want eye watering prices..
