The wiki ( in the header of this site

) has all the info...
But if it is a DG engine code (most likely) then its 78 bhp

You might be better off with an actual horse.

Thanks for that. Its not the most poweful van and 78 horses isn't a lot but, it'll do. Im never in a rush when im out in it anyway! Oh, it is a DG engine, with a carb.

when it's shagged fit a 2.1
all the stuff off the 1.9 fits on... including the carb.
112 BHP oh yessss
I did it last year and boy, what you said about not bothered, I used to say too...
What a difference it makes, incredible, drives like a modern car now.

Totally agree with Kev here, the 2.1 is an astounding engine.
To be fair I've not driven any other T25 than my own, but it's an absolute pleasure; it's quick (for a vehicle of its size) it cruises at a steady 65 / 70 mph and there's plenty in reserve. Ran down to Cornwall last year with a fully laden roof rack and was pulling 80mph + up hill on the clear M5 sections.
OK you pay through the nose for it in miles per gallon, (I reckon I got 19 to the gallon on the way down and 27 on the way back with an empty roof and taking my time a bit more) but I didn't buy my van with economy in mind...

yes Andy it has reserve which the 1.9 never had.
I kept the carb as I had no means of injecting it, plus the LPG system was taken from the 1.9 and refitted to the 2.1 with no drama or expense.

have a go in a 1.9 DF that has something like 60hp from new. oh yes feel the rush once you hit 50mph.
