Well I got the new slave (2nd one ) and the new flexi clutch pipe from Brickwerks . This time I connected the pipe to the slave before fitting to make sure I didn't cross thread it but now I can't undo the connection from the old plastic pipe to the metal pipe where it goes through the chassis it is bloody awkward under there, Im going to try and heat up the connection with a blow torch as mention in the wiki, the thing is Im afraid of knackering the metal pipe and the union on the end of it so in anticipation of my heavy handed lumoxness I need to know a few things.

I have see the correct clutch unions on brickwerks,M12x1 pipe union for 6mm pipe, these look like they will fit directly into the new clutch pipe.

Do these unions just slide on or is there an olive or somthing else required to join them to the metal pipe.?
If I dont have enough pipe showing once the old connection is broken snapped etc can I use this 6mm copper pipe or somthing similar

I have unions, pipe and straight connectors on the shelf.
I keep meaning to put the straight connectors on the webshop but I keep forgetting.
If you buy a roll of pipe I will happily fit a union to the end and flare if for you to cut to length if needed, then just use the straight coupling to attach fresh pipe to old pipe.
We usually join the pipe under the drivers floor area.
Tank out job to replace though.

I am no good in tubings and fittings. Thanks for providing the links here. I may not know how to do it myself, at least I know what it looks like. Hopefully I can do this by myself someday.
