Rear brakes

Does anyone have a picture of the rear brake setup?

I've dismantled both side to replace the wheel cylinders but can't quite work out which way round the adjustment bar is supposed to go, probably should have only done one side at a time.

Thanks

I've just done this this afternoon - no pics but can take some in the am if you need, still got to adjust them tomorrow.

The adjusters fit with the threaded section to the shoe with the handbrake lever and the longer tongue towards the back plate, the other part fits with the wider part to the outside.

When fitting them dont forget there is a cut out in the hub flange, it's much easier to fit them if the cut out is at the top

Excellent! Thanks Mike

I'd got as far as working out the threaded end with the longer part towards the back, but wasn't sure about the other end.

Here's a pic that I already had, hopefully you can just about see the end of the handbrake cable and the shorter of the two prongs on the adjuster arm:

Make sure you have your springs the right way up, otherwise the adjuster won't turn. The top two horizontal springs in this pic are upside down:

Thanks Tony I'll double check the springs tomorrow as well to make sure I've got them the correct way up.

All back together now with springs the right way round and adjustment bar working properly.

Thanks for all the help.
