central locking kits

hello :ok

has anyone fitted a central locking kit on there van if so do you have any picture of where you fitted actuator and can you do the sliding door too

any info would help cheers

I fitted a 25 euro generic kit.
I don't have pictures, just put the actuators where they have a straight line to the locking mechanism.

Mine uses metal piggy back connectors to join the actuator to the locking mechanism rod.

You will have to drill holes and cut some metal away.

I just got a kit that I plan to fit at weekend. Hope it's easy.

The problem with the sliding door is that the lock is in the door and getting a signal and power into the door would present a challenge.

the front doors were a piece of cake to be honest just fit the solenoid into the channel next to the pushrod, or where ever confortable for you, sliding door is another matter check this, hope it helps :-)

Search is your friend....
Vans fitted with OE CL have a spring loaded connector on the front edge of the sliding door that makes contact when the door is closed.
Early Polos and Golfs used a similar connector for heated rear screen and wiper connections, I'm sure other cars had similar systems.
