ok, i know it's a brick but the road and wind noise in my panel van got a bit too much to bare all the way from Derby to Peterborough at the weekend.

i've always planned to line the inside and i'm slowly doing it, i've heard that caravelles had some wind noise reducing seals? i've had one off alfieboy for the sliding door but are there anymore? and are they worth it?

thanks,

dan :ok

there are cab door wind seals fitted to caravelles.. they make a little difference I'm told.. only available from breakers now

if you keep the van at 60 it's not so bad.

at 80 it starts to get quieter :D

run some masking tape over the driver/passenger door and window seams to help you determine whether or not new seals will help.
like the felt channel window seal that's a noisy bugger

Thats strange...always throught my California was remarkably quiet for a 20 year old van, even driven at speed we, Michelle and I, can talk and hear eachother without effort. Mine is fitted with whistle stops and admittedly did have new front door seals last year.

Makes a difference if you have carpet or rubber mats in the front too!!!
