hi all
1600 diesel - recently serviced, including timing belt change - I am now getting spatters of oil over the tailgate - any ideas on where to start with this one?
thanks for reading and for any advice...!

have a look underneath, it could be the sump leaking - either a loose fixing, a worn leaky gasket or a crack in your sump.
clean up all the oil undeneath and check oil level, then take for a 10 min drive then have a look underneath -

careful it will be hot

If you're really unlucky the heavy handed goons at the garage will have drained your oil and then done up your sump plug too tight cracking the sump, have a look and if it is throw it back at them.... Dad had that done to his.

hi again - I now believe this is diesel not oil, and it seems to be getting onto the offside end of the silencer, and then onto the tailgate - any views on likely locations of such a diesel leak?
thanks!
