Anyone had a 1V in their van?

Hi all, my 1988 T25 camper has had a engine transplant at sometime in the past.
It has a 1V, but should have had a JX as its a 1.6TD, so its always been a diesel.
I've had the van 'Gina' nearly 2 years, during which time I've renovated the body and interior. Now it's time to find more out about the engine.
The engine has been OK so far, always starts and never failed on me, but we haven't used it like we should have due to the previous body/interor work.
Now we would like to make sure that in the coming season, our Gina will be fairly reliable.
