how bad can steps get for mot pass

my front steps are shot! But the bus has passed last two mots. I know they are not a faliure, but is there a point when i just have to do them??
Ive got all the molded bumpers and skirts, and just havnt been able to face it!!

sharp edgesis about it if there picky.
or the step goes and so does the floor 12inches from the seatbelt mount or lower steering coloum.

And or brake pedal/ servo mounts and maybe even the hand brake lever mounting, but by then it would be really bad...
