first of all hi to every one , ive currently got a 1986 lhd caravelle with a 2.1i engine in her but ive also got 1995 toledo 19 tdi which unfotunately is a rust bucket and im planning on scraping it but the engine is mint having done just over 40k miles, can any one tell me how much work it is or if its possible to put the seat engine into the caravelle and if so what parts etc will i have to strip off it before scraping.thanks for any replys in advance ..jimbo

you wolud need all the diesel bits like bell housing, suport bars fuel filters etc etc not imposible but not dead easy! Plus is your toledo fly by wire or cable operated accelarator ??

You need lots of diesel parts and a new/modified gearbox.

I'd take out the engine and sell it if i were you. Its not a trivial job - you need to take the whole wiring loom off too, including the ignition i believe.
