Hi
Wonder if anyone can help me.
I bought my first T25 in december (81 Aircooled) and i've just put it in the garage for a service and good going over. I intend to do a lot myself but thought i'd get local expert to go over it first time! When i put it in i asked him to look at an oil leak on the engine and the dipstick tube as i had problems getting it back in. he has now looked and told me i have a CJ engine and not the original CU. The problem is, the dipstick tube and filler tube are from the CU engine and dont fit properly.
Is there anywhere i can find a dipstick and filler tube for the CJ engine? Or has anyone come across this before and know of an easy solution??
Any advice would be great. :ok

Hi Ned
Was he trying to tell you that they are in the wrong place for access through flap :?: because this is the case with the CJ engine....
Or has someone tried to make it work and failed

Hi Andy
Think it was a bit of both. The tube is swinging in the breeze in the rough direction of the flap, but i have a real problem getting the dip back in when i check the oil. I think its leaking there too cause its such a crap fit! Bloke at the garage cant find the proper CJ tubes so thought i'd stick it on here on the off chance someone had come across it.
